Probiotic Breakfast Smoothies with Coconut Kefir
My new favourite way to consume probiotics
This is seriously healthy. We should all eat with consideration of our gut health and these two smoothie variations do the trick! The coconut kefir I used for this recipe is alive and consists of fermented young coconut flesh and probiotic cultures. Add some ripe banana, peanut butter and berries and a healthy breakfast is served. What’s not to love?

For the Blueberry & Peanut butter Smoothie
Ingredients
250ml coconut kefir* by WILD & COCO
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup (ca. 100g) fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 ripe banana
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp maple or date syrup
For the Strawberry, Spinach & Hemp one
Ingredients
250ml coconut kefir* by WILD & COCO
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup (ca. 100g) fresh or frozen strawberries
1/2 ripe banana
2 handfuls spinach
1 tbsp hemp hearts (I used the ones by Laia’s)
1 tbsp maple or date syrup
*if you can’t get your hands on coconut kefir, you can also use a probiotic coconut yoghurt
Instructions
For either Smoothie, add the ingredients to your mixer and blend until smooth.
Drink up and watch how you feel after doing this twice a week for a few weeks! PS: In case you don’t finish the smoothie in one setting, fill the rest into a clean bottle, screw tight and place in the fridge for 1-2 days.
